Chorus
Chorus aims to protect, preserve, restore and promote the architectural ad artistic heritage of Venice churches and the Patriarchy’s ones alike.
In order to do so, Chorus provides adequate safekeeping activities to preserve the integrity of the churches’ historical and artistic heritage. It offers longer opening times to the public and promotes knowledge among visitors and amateurs through adequate informative materials.
Moreover, Chorus wants to contribute to the development of studies on the history of the above-mentioned heritage, involving the people who love it in all kinds of protection activities. Eventually, Chorus cares for its transparency, informing contributors on how the funds collected have been used.
Restorations
Since its birth, Chorus has been presenting itself and its mission as a service to the advantage of the artistic heritage of Venetian churches. In particular, from the very beginning the Association has pointed out the necessity of investments in restorations and activities in order to make its churches perfectly enjoyable. Therefore, important investments have been made regarding informative materials, as previously said, but also interventions of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, some of which took five years and even several hundred thousand euros to be completed.
