The canvases depicting the Twelve Apostles, that adorn the presbytery’s side walls, were realised thanks to a request left in the noble Andrea Stazio’s will.
There were different artists involved for the completion of these paintings, therefore, the series turns out to be a compilation of Venetian paintings from the beginning eighteenth-century.
The works were placed in plaster frames embellished with flowers and small angels, extending onto the walls to create a seamless decorative effect.
Housed in a larger frame in the center of the walls are two narrations: The Falling of Manna and The Sacrifice of Moses, placed in line with the Blessed altar and both have an Eucharistic theme.
