The group of paintings by Diziano (Flight into Egypt, Adoration of the Magi, Massacre of the Innocents, the latter in two episodes) were painted upon the commission of Friar Natale Poluzzi in 1733.
In the case of Massacre of the Innocents some preparatory drawings are known, and have been a part of Zugni Tauro’s private collection since 1971.
