Giovanni Vrana, admiral of the arsenal, is buried, with his daughter and son-in-law, in front of the altar he had built. The stone altarpiece depicting the Nativity was made by Domenico Grazioli da Salò. The frontal of the altar constitutes a significant historical document, since it represents, in a schematic but precise way, the disposition of the opposing sides in the battle of Lepanto: in the center you can see the six Venetian galleys. The dedication inscription shows the date of the victory, 7 October 1571.
